Hey all, I'm back home, thank God! Not to dis the Falls festival, it was an adventure and the vibe was great, but there's nothing like being home. I also visited Melbourne, which I loved, and met some very cool people at the hostel, including a hilarious Irish chick, some French guys (who lived up to the cliche's!), a gorgeous French-Canadian girl, and an awesome American couple...
The top 5 reasons I disliked the Falls festival...
5. The squishy back-seat on the road trip.
4. The constantly deflating air mattress.
3. The skanky feeling of not showering for 2 and a half days (I discovered there were indoor showers on the last day).
3. The skanky feeling of not showering for 2 and a half days (I discovered there were indoor showers on the last day).
2. The relentless sun (which turned the tent into a sauna and gave me 2nd degree-like burns on my shoulders).
1. The porta-loo's!
But, it wasn't all bad!...
The top 5 reasons I loved the Falls festival...
5. The comedian Justin Hamilton and his hilarious story about taking acid.
4. The tribal-like dancing of the thousands of people during Groove Armada.
3. The sweet, hopeful music of gorgeous siblings 'Angus and Julia Stone'.
2. The band 'The Beautiful Girls', who have a sound similar to Jack Johnson (and a lookalike frontman-so hot!) but rockier, and who had me dancing so hard I forgot about how uncomfortable I was from the killer sunburn and lack of shower.
1. The incomparable, luminous, incredibly talented Clare Bowditch ( 'I thought you were God' just about brought me to tears).
So that was my trip! If you are reading this and you were there, please leave a comment and let me know about your experience...
Also, I have something quite exciting in the works. I'll let you know soon!...

WOOO! I'm so glad you went, I knew you would love it. And I think the cons just make you feel so much more hard-core. Like those loos... ergh!
My top 5 sets:
- Jackson Jackson
- New Young Pony Club
- Lior
- Gotye (I am so desperately in love with this man...)
- Kings of Leon
Worst act:
- Blackalicious (how awful were they?!)
All in all... hooray! Did you make it down to the village at all? i heard that Angus & Julia did a secret show down there - I'm so annoyed that I missed out!

lol-oh yea, im so hardcore now!haha...
New Young Pony Club were great...i was expecting magic dirt, and id never even heard of nypc but they were awesome!
I didnt see blackalicious, never heard of them either-im not really a big triple J fan!
No, I didnt make it to the village-i was too achey and hot to trek the kilometre or so...but I heard the village was awesome and very alice in wonderland-ish...
it was an experience, but i dont think im cut out for 3 day music festivals-1 day in mild weather is about all i can handle while maintaining my sanity!
:)
So you won't go again? Come on - it's totally worth the filthy-no-showering-ness!
Nah, I doubt I'd go again...
I prefer the kind of one day festivals that I can go home after and have a shower, and sleep in my own bed in my climate controlled home!...im high-maintenance:P
